i've been using dvda-author 10.06-400.core for quite some time now, and
haven't noticed this issue, although i haven't been listening thoroughly
to the discs i've been making.
i'm getting a very audible hiss happening during several tracks.
definitely is some sort of encoding error because the hiss is not
present in the source files.
i have 24-bit, 96 kHz FLAC files that i have created in Audacity, which
have been decompressed to WAV by using `flac -d ...` no issues with the
original FLACs nor the decompressed WAVs. decompressed files are moved
into ~/input
i'm creating the DVD using this command:
dvda-author -o ~/DVD -g *.wav -X /home/scar/input
i get some errors:
[ERR] chdir() issue
[ERR] clean: Unknown error 18446744073709551615
[ERR] chdir() issue
[ERR] clean: Unknown error 18446744073709551615
and several warnings:
[WAR] Padding track with 6 bytes.
but the DVD gets created.
the resulting files in ~/DVD/AUDIO_TS i have tried to play with VLC, and
this is where the hiss is showing up. it isn't throughout the whole DVD
but only some tracks get this hiss, then the next few tracks play fine,
and the following ones have got hiss again...
